Kaylin's Baby Shower

The baby shower was on Sunday afternoon. First of all, we were so so blessed with so many wonderful gifts for Miss Kaylin!!!
It was a beautiful shower pinks and grays with some elephants for our little "peanut" and lots of family and friends were able to make it.

Lots of yummy food and deserts and beautiful cupcakes made by "Aunt GiGi" and her friend Cambry.
We received so many gifts!
Target seems to have some issues with their new registry system so we got several duplicate items. But we were able to return them and get several other items we still needed.

Thanks to everyone for coming, helping with the shower, and all the wonderful gifts. We cannot wait for Miss Kaylin to be here and start using everything!!

Stretch Marks: Well I thought I didn't have any, I've tried so hard to keep lotion and stretch mark cream on my belly but noticed a few days ago I have a few stretch marks on my hips and thighs so I'm now using lotion and cream on those religiously hopefully they'll go away!!
Maternity Clothes: Nope just bought a few size Large shirts(on sale at Wet Seal!)

What I'm looking forward to: Baby shower next weekend!! And then getting her nursery ready. I went to a Breastfeeding class last week that was very informative. And Justin and I went to a childbirth class today. It was long but we learned a lot and the lady teaching it is very open to natural birth, moving around during labor ect so that was great. Just one more class, on finding alternatives to labor pain, so that should be interesting and hopefully good too! Bought a pattern and ordered fabric to make her crib bedding! Can't wait!

Birthday Surprise

Justin had been planning a early birthday surprise for me for awhile. He usually cannot keep a secret, especially when it's a gift or surprise for me. He just gets too excited and can't keep it in! But he had done really good this time and I had no idea where we were going. All I knew was that we were going somewhere on Saturday around 3:30....until Annie blurted it out Friday night :). She let it slip that we were flying to College Station to watch an A&M game. I was so excited!!
Saturday morning we slept in, then went shopping to get us some new A&M clothes(because everyone knows you can't wear the perfectly good ones you already have!) then got ready and headed to the airport to meet Mom and Dad.
We loaded up and took off about 4(after forgetting the tickets at home and having to drive back :)

We landed in College Station about 5:45, our cousin Rachel was waiting to pick us up. So we snacked a little and chatted with Rachel before she drove us to Kyle Field. We got to catch the end of March In

Then walked around the Stadium a bit before taking our seats for kick off.
It was a great game! We sat in the student section so stood up most of the game but all in all it was a ton of fun!
I don't think this little guy next to us sat down until halfway through the 4th Quarter. And he swung that towel the whole time!

The game ended around midnight and we caught the airport shuttle back to the airport and took off around 1am.
We didn't get home until about 3:30 after cleaning up and putting away the airplane so it was a long day but so much fun! And little Miss Kaylin got her first airplane ride with "Pop" and got to go to her first Aggie Football Game! Thanks for my Birthday Surprise Babe!!

3D Sonogram and Glucose Test

We had our 3D sonogram this week, well technically last week. It was scheduled for Friday but apparently Baby girl didn't want anyone to see her. She hid her face in a corner between the wall and the placenta with her face to my back. So basically we couldn't see anything! So we went back on Wednesday with instructions to eat a snack and drink orange juice right before and it worked. She cooperated and we got to see her beautiful face :) she had chubby cheeks a beautiful little mouth and perfect little fingers and toes! We are in love!
This is my favorite picture, her foot is literally right next to her face!

Pretty girl!

Today was the glucose test. The drink wasn't so bad, just tasted like extra sweet, flat, orange soda. And it sure got baby girl moving! But when they tried to draw my blood it didn't work out so well. I've always had veins that were hard to draw from but she stuck both arms and they are both very sore. Other than that no big deal.

28 Week Bump Update

How far along: 28 Weeks
Weight gain: 18 lbs
Baby Size: Head of Cabbage about 2.5 lbs
Stretch Marks: None yet (fingers crossed)
Maternity Clothes: None yet but thinking I might need some(or a least bigger size clothes) soon!
Symtoms: Hungry and Tired :)
Food cravings: Cinnamon Bagels & Cinnamon Cheerios
Movement: Lots! To the point where you can see my stomach move
Belly Button: All the way out
Rings: Still on
Gender: Girl!!
Name: Kaylin Elise
What I miss: Not having a belly in my way.
What I'm looking forward to: Holding our sweet baby girl! I'm trying to savor our last few months as just Justin & I, but at the same time I cannot WAIT for her to be here!
Coming up: Had our 3D Sonogram last week but didn't get very good pictures, baby girl kept her head in a corner facing back the whole time. Going back tonight, hopefully we will get to see her more! We did see some cute little chubby cheeks at the last sonogram and that she already has lots of hair on her head(of course!) Friday is the glucose test(yuk) so we'll see how that goes.
Nursery: Painted and waiting for crib and dresser, a friend is giving us their crib. I am looking for an old dresser that I can refinish, White with crystal knobs. Need to get blinds put up and another rod in her closet(for some reason when we bought the house her closet only had a rod on one side.) Can't wait to see what it looks like!
